State-by-state ghost posting data

Ghost posting counts can be filtered by state at /ghost-postings and /ghost-hall-of-fame (e.g. /ghost-postings?state=NY), useful for comparing enforcement or coverage as ghost-job disclosure laws move through individual state legislatures — New York's S8877 and similar bills introduced in New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.

About the platform

The Hiring Index is a hiring accountability and intelligence platform that tracks how companies treat job seekers — from first application to offer. We publish confirmed, user-submitted reports on hiring practices, ghost postings, and workforce separations. Companies receive scores based on real candidate experiences and cannot pay to change them.

We are not a consumer reporting agency. Our data may not be used for employment screening decisions. We operate independently with no advertiser relationships or employer funding. Our Independence Charter and full methodology are published openly.
